BTS Of Miss Haiti World 2014 Carolyn Desert’s Ginen Creations Photo Shoot

A couple of weeks ago, I sat at home with everyone else as we read  tweets and re-posted pictures hash tagged #MissHaiti, waiting to see who would be crowned Miss Haiti 2014. After weeks of promoting the pictures of the pageant’s hopefuls on this blog and on social networks, I knew early on, Carolyn Desert was definitely a fan favorite.

The night of the pageant, as people chanted her name throughout the night at the Karibe hotel, this young model and restaurant owner did not plan on leaving the pageant without the crown.

Fast forward to a few weeks later, I am proud to have been in attendance this morning as up and coming Haitian-American designer Ginen Creations by Sophie styled Carolyn for an African inspired shoot on her first visit to South Florida since her win. After a few hours of flashing lights, laughing, dancing,  beautiful make up by Haitian make up artist Giaah of Veezaj by Giaah and  amazing photography by Aman Lexidor, I can see why everyone is so in love with her. She is so humbled, beautiful spirit,  well spoken and a beautiful person inside and out. She is definitely a great representative for Haiti, Haitians and all the other young girls in the world who will be inspired by her ambition and confidence.

Congratulations Carolyn, continue reaching for the stars.
